Obituary of Dr. Timothy Wayne Wallace

Timothy Wallace passed away peacefully at home at the age of 74 on July 31st 2025 surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife and teenage sweetheart, Deborah Wallace (Dickey) and his two children, Jeffrey (Brittany) and Jamie (Lindsay). He was comforted by the recent visits of his surviving siblings Kathy (Mike), Sue (Bob), and Tom (Joanne). He will also be greatly missed by his loving grandchildren Georgia, Jackson, Bryson, and Emily.  He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Eleanor Wallace.

Tim was born in North Bay, Ontario and his heart never left the lake. He grew up waterskiing, sailing, playing tennis and boating in his free time. Over the winters, he loved downhill skiing just as much. He attended the University of Western Ontario for his undergraduate and dental school. From there he ventured to Chicago, completing his internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. An invitation for a weekend trip to Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario led him to move back to Ontario, spending the rest of his life in Waterloo, Ontario. He would, however, return to his beloved family homestead every summer.

He set up a successful Surgical practice in Waterloo and provided care for over 40 years at both Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital.  He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Western Ontario in the faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. He and his siblings were avid skiers at Whistler Mountain, and he fostered a love for skiing in his children and grandchildren. He and Debi loved to vacation and cruise throughout Europe, the Caribbean and North America, with Venice being a favorite destination. His kindness, work ethic, love of sport and travel served as a model of inspiration for his family.  Throughout his life, his family was his main focus.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Blue Skies Senior Assistance as well as the caring workers Jenn, Kyra and Agnes from Paramed who cared for Tim at home.

A private service was held for immediate family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Waterloo Region Health Network Foundation Cancer Clinic (Former St Mary’s and Grand River Hospital) or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated, and may be arranged through www.erbgood.com.
