Sadly, I have lost a true friend—a wonderful friendship for 50 years—as neighbours, as confidants, as Art and Theatre enthusiasts, as walking buddies, as luncheon goers (often rushing over to the Transylvania Club for a quick, light lunch in our busy work schedules). Desta always had a sweet smile—she was a devoted sister to Pauline; she enjoyed socializing; she loved the bridge games; she was generous to others and to her community (a long list of benefactors); she loved animals—especially her 3 cats and seeing our horses. Memories of our many fun adventures (we laughed nervously with excitement on our Cessna flight over the Bruce Peninsula) are happily etched in my mind!
I am thankful for Desta’s friendship.
