Obituary of Christina Owens Brown

January 2, 1947 – August 27, 2025

It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Christina Owens Brown announces her peaceful passing on August 27, 2025. 

Loving mother of Robert (Patti), John, and Sarah (Danilo).

Loving grandmother of Adrian (Tiffany), Joseph (Siasi), Christian (Riley), Robert (Alena), Elyse (Logan), Bethany, Jack, Joshua and Liam.

Loving great-grandmother of Ruby, Marisol, Oleander, Luca, Blake, Annabelle, Donatello and Siaya.

Loving sister, daughter, auntie and great friend to many in Canada as well as in Scotland and England.

Predeceased by her parents John and Sadie Brown.

Christina was truly one of a kind.  A unique and precious woman known for her love of children, music, dancing, laughter and love for fun.  Christina had unending energy and love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always involved in play, singing and dancing along the way.  Christina fiercely stood by each and every one, ensuring they were loved, happy, having fun and being well cared for. 

Christina was a tower of strength with unwavering resilience. 

Christina was generous and gave all that she could and all that she had to others.

Christina’s family would like to thank all those who provided beautiful care and comfort at Lisaard House in Cambridge.  A very special thank you to Dr. F. Joseph Lee for overseeing Christina’s healthcare over the past several decades. She was grateful and always considered herself so fortunate.

Nana (Nan) was the cornerstone of our family. She will be missed and remembered every day.  We are certain that Nan is ‘dancing the buckles off her shoes’ in heaven.
