Obituary of Paul Joseph Arthurs

Paul passed peacefully with his daughters by his side at Waterloo Regional Health Network Hospital in Kitchener, after a brief illness. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Amanda (Andrew) Boland (Kincardine) and Natasha (Garrett) Treadwell (Oshawa), and his wife of 45 years Lynn Arthurs (nee Templar) of Oshawa. He will be greatly missed by his 5 grandchildren; Hailey and Evan Boland and Ginelle, Paisley and Thea Treadwell, who affectionately called him ‘Peepa.’ Paul is survived by his sisters Shirley (Tony) Ramundi of Toronto and Loretta (Larry) Phillips of Alberta. He is predeceased by his Sister Paula and brothers Christopher and Peter Arthurs. Paul was lucky to have a lifelong friendship with Brian O’Connell, who was there for him right up to the end of his life.

Paul was a very proud retired employee of the OPG. He was Certified by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission as a Nuclear Operator at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station B.

A resident of Oshawa for most of his life, he moved to Listowel in 2023. At Paul’s specific request, there will be a private family interment. To honour him, you may wish to make a donation to the Local Food Bank in your area.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at WRHN Hospital - Midtown, ICU - A, for their good care of Paul, espcially Dr. Natalie L. Needham-Nethercott, who was exceptional in her care of Paul and his family - thank you so much!
