Obituary of Kimberley Anne Aho

Kimberley Aho passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. She was 65. Up until the very end she never wavered from her deep faith nor her tremendous sense of humour. 

Kim was the heart of her home and family. She raised two children, Micheal and Matthew in a happy and loving home. She was a loving daughter to Norma Collins. 

She was selfless, putting those whom she loved first. Taking her children on exciting outings, always volunteering for school events and field trips. Along with finding the time to bring treats for all the other kids and teachers whenever she could. She loved hosting and planning parties, especially around the holiday seasons that would always be incredibly special. 

She also spent time in her later years volunteering at charities like Ray of Hope and Heart and Stroke. Before her illness she was a very active member with Creekside Church. 

She was a creative person, as demonstrated in her business, Roses and Ivy, as a wedding planner. She helped newlyweds ensure their special day was as perfect as possible. Later in life while battling cancer, she found a new passion in water colour painting which always brought her joy.  

She will be deeply missed by her family; survived by her two sons Micheal and Matthew, her mother Norma Collins, sister-in-law Lorraine Aho, her friends Beverly Esposito, Marie Hardy, and special companion Walt Sowinski. Along with many others that felt her sunshine come into their lives. Kim was predeceased by her husband Dr. Lance Aho and father Arthur Collins. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Creekside Church, 660 Conservation Drive, Waterloo on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
