I was deeply saddened to hear of Lorna’s passing. Though we worked together many years ago, the impact she had on my life remains ever-present. During one of the most difficult times in my own life, she showed me unwavering kindness, compassion, and guidance. Her wisdom and support were a true light in my darkness, and I will forever be grateful for the generosity of spirit she shared with me.
As a colleague at work, Lorna was always so approachable and willing to share her extensive knowledge. I would frequently call her or walk over to her desk asking for help to understand a process or explain a situation. She never once hesitated to stop and help and always made sure I was satisfied and fully understood her explanations. To this day I carry many of her lessons with me.
We remained connected after her retirement where she would check in on me to see how I was doing. Having 2 kids during this time, Lorna would ask to see photos of my girls and always ended her message by offering to help or say to reach out if I needed anything. Even during Covid she would check in on me to see how I was surviving it all.
May her memory continue to shine in all of us who were lucky enough to know her. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
With deepest gratitude and sympathy,
Diana Galli
