Obituary of Ahamad Khan

Ahamad passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on October 18, 2025, at The Village of Winston Park.

Ahamad is survived by his children, Sarah Bott (Katherine) and Alexander Bott, and his siblings Ruby Ogbonnah (Amadi), Christine Khan, Prunella Richardson, and Shyroon Khan. He will also be lovingly remembered by his several nieces and nephews. Ahamad is predeceased by his parents Nazir Khan and Jamiran Khan (née Nagil) and his siblings Ashraf Khan (Zobida) and Haffiza Supersad.

Ahamad immigrated to Canada in his young adulthood from Trinidad and Tobago. For the majority of his career, he worked as a nurse in the Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo communities. He found joy in watching sports, spending time with his family and friends, and being involved in local politics. Ahamad was a committed member of his community, always finding ways to give back and stay involved. He believed in showing up, speaking out, and helping others wherever he could. His presence and dedication will be deeply missed.

His family would like to specifically thank the staff in the Newberry Neighbourhood at Winston Park, who provided exceptional care to Ahamad during his time there.

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Memorial service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Reception will be held in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room.
