Obituary of John Hirmann

Passed away peacefully at The Village of Winston Park on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 92.

Survived by his wife Katy of 68yrs, his daughters Doris and Diane and son-in-law Jason, his grandsons Brandon and wife Katlyn, Corey and wife Danielle, and Bryan, his great grand-daughters Hailee, Avery, Mia, and Remi, and his sibling Irma. 

Predeceased by his parents Anton and Maria, his sibling Karl, and his son-in-law Randy. 

John and Katy moved to Canada from Germany.  They settled in Waterloo where they raised their daughters. John loved to cook. From his traditional German schnitzel to his always more than we needed delicious turkey. He also love spending his time harvesting his backyard garden. His homemade sunshine pickles were simply scrumptious. 

Special thanks to the entire team at The Village of Winston Park for their outstanding care during his time there. 

Cremation has taken place. In accordance with John’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Private family interment to take place at Parkview Cemetery.
