Obituary of Marilyn Louise Hiller

Marilyn was born in Waterloo to Arthur and Aileen Hiller on May 8, 1946. Aileen spent her career at KW Hospital nursing and Arthur was partner of Waterloo Printing for over 40 years. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her brother Thomas Hiller (Audrey Bell-Hiller), and her nephew Callum Hiller.  

Marilyn was educated in Kitchener-Waterloo and earned her University degree at Wilfrid Laurier; she spent years playing the piano and received her Grade 8 Royal Conservatory School of Music. After graduation, she travelled to European countries when she could. Marilyn lived and worked in Toronto for some years, working for a publishing company. When returning to Kitchener-Waterloo, she found great joy playing the piano for others and the simple pleasure of playing for enjoyment.

Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Trinity Village by Lutheran Homes Kitchener-Waterloo, and also to Marilyn’s caring friend Avivah Wargon from Toronto for her friendship and thoughtfulness throughout the years.

Cremation has taken place. A Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
