Obituary of Sylvia Mary Jean Yovdoshuk

Sylvia passed away surrounded by love and  family.  She is survived by her children, Peter (Breanna) and Kathryn (Kyle), brother David (Diane), grandchildren Kurtis, Scarlett and Harrison, nephews  Andrew, Ian, Christopher, niece Ainsley, great nephews Charlie and Ivan and great nieces Joy, Ena, Abigail and Sophie .

She is predeceased by her husband Bill, her parents George and Winnie Lockhart and sister Heather McNaughton.

Sylvia’s caring nature led her to a career in nursing and assisting patients find long-term care. She loved her family, travelling, reading, the Leafs and the Blue Jays. 

The family would like to thank the truly amazing team at the Cook Family Residence at the Hospice Waterloo Region. 

The Celebration of Life will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Sunday November 30, 2025, from 2 p.m. to. 4 p.m.
