Obituary of Keeva Maeve Mary Yoshy
We are truly heartbroken to announce that our wee fairy girl, Keeva Maeve Mary Yoshy, passed away peacefully at the farm on Friday, December 12 2025 at the tender age of 7. This was following her courageous 4-year battle with a brain tumour.
Keeva was born at home on August 5, 2018 to parents Mairead (Fitzpatrick) and Zak Yoshy, little sister to big brother Aoki Yoshy. Keeva entered this world fiercely and on her own schedule, which never wavered even as she received her Angel wings. She was considered a medical miracle and proved that her spirit and zest for life could push through the toughest of days. She completed 100 + weeks of chemotherapy, a brain biopsy, countless brain scans and port/g-tube sagas without complaint. She was the embodiment of bravery and stoicism. Our warrior woman was both a guide and a gift that, albeit unexpected, never stopped giving us what we truly needed.
Our Queen Keevs loved music, dancing and all things rainbow unicorn. She was an avid crafter with honed steady hands that could land a sticker or bead with micro precision up until the very end. She was glitter and sparkle personified. Miss K was also born with strict boundaries and knew how to declare her wishes with a ferocious stink eye or a hand slice.
She was an adventurous gal whether it be a visit to the lake up north, or on trips to Jamaica, Mexico, and Disney. In August 2022, she travelled all the way to Lourdes France to be blessed with holy water and the gift of extra time earthside. Every day with her was an adventure as we learned both the gift and the grief of impermanence.
As your parents, loving you sweet Birdle was the easiest thing in the world and we would not change a step on this journey we walked together. Your generosity of spirit will keep us going through the darkest of indigos.
She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her parents and brother. Her Grandparents; Rob and Oonagh Fitzpatrick, Judy and the late Ryan Yoshy. Her Aunties, Uncles and Cousins; Kealan Fitzpatrick, Siobhan and David Hamilton, Rory, Flynn, Heath, Beau and Faye Hamilton. Mariko Yoshy and Matt Bolen, Emiko Bolen-Yoshy, Takao and Yoshi Bolen. Simonne Marchesseau and Kody Yoshy, Hugh, Harrison, Coco and Gigi Yoshy. Kiyoko Yoshy and Tim Belanger, Harlow and Huxley Belanger.
Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Clement RC Church, 3619 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11 a.m., with Fr.
