Obituary of Garry Eldon Jahn

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Waterloo on December 25, 2025 at the age of 74.

Survived by his daughters Jenny (Martin) and Stacey (Eric) and grandchildren Mia, Joey, Cole, Chase, Cai, and Caris

Predeceased by his wife Cathy, brother Orval and parents Alfred and Eileen Jahn.

Garry was born in the Eganville area in the Ottawa Valley. After highschool he moved to Kitchener-Waterloo to find employment and was hired in 1972 by Kraus Carpets and worked there for 45 years. All through these years he returned home frequently to the Ottawa Valley to enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and family.

 He will be remembered for his wit and sense of humour and his love for his girls, their husbands, and grandkids.

A Celebration of Garry’s Life will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 6 – 8:30pm with words of remembrance held at 7pm.
