I am sorry I couldn't make it to the celebration of life yesterday but I was at home and watched it on the livestream. Steve, Karen and Lisa did a wonderful job giving memories of their mom. Rev. Lee walked around during the service with the microphone. The grandchildren added their remembrances and sang a special song accompanied by a guitar. I think Lynda was a remarkable woman. She will live on in the hearts of her family and many many others. Isobel Field, a former resident of Lincoln Village, now living in Luther Village.

To Lynda's family,
So sorry to hear of Lynda's passing. She and I sang in the First United Church choir for a long time until Covid lockdown's.
She had such a beautiful voice. Her family was always important to her and she would say see you in a couple of weeks-I'm off to see my daughter in Calgary, or I'm going to see my brother or sister. We also quilted together at First United's quilting group and she would teach me about tricks to quilting.
Lynda was always doing things for others as well. May she rest in peace.

With our prayers and thoughts and Love, we are extending our heartfelt condolence for the bereaved family of Lynda McDowell.
Lynda has been a friend while she was a member of First United Church Waterloo. We used to share moments after the church service over cups of coffee and our conversations were about her daughter who lives in Singapore. I told her about Singapore and being an Asian-Canadian, I shared with her about the many nice spots to visit in Singapore. I even encouraged to visit Singapore.
She has been an inspiration being a choir member of The First United Church Gallery Choir.
May Lynda's soul be of repose with our Lord, in peace and comfort along her journey to her eternal life.
Love, Miriam and Donald Beldock

For many years Lynda gave of her time by volunteering at the main reception area at Grand River Hospital, offering a welcoming smile and escorting patients and visitors throughout the hospital. Her calm demeanour and nursing experience made her an exceptional volunteer! Thank you Lynda for your dedication and years of service!

to Lynda's family:
I will not be able to attend the visitation or funeral, but do extend my sincere sympathy to you, her family. Lynda was a pleasure to know.--always helpful and outgoing. She and I travelled west to visit family for Christmas often. We have missed her at choir and Noon Hour Concerts, where she served coffee with a smile. Shirley Isish
