Obituary of George 'Giorgio' Sigfrido Albano

George (Giorgio) Albano passed away on the evening of Thursday, January 22nd 2026 in his 90th year. He is survived by his wife Cathy (Caterina), his son Marco and his daughter-in-law Kathy. He was a proud member of the Associazione Nazionale Alpini (ANA) in Canada. Giorgio and Caterina came to Canada in 1966 from Italy. As proud as he was of his Italian heritage, he was more proud to be a Canadian. His ability to find humour in most situations as well as his personality and smile will be missed. A special thanks to all of the staff at Johnson's Village in University Gates for all the loving care. 

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Cremation to follow.
