Obituary of Douglas R. Brooker

Douglas Brooker was called to his heavenly home in his 70^th year, suddenly on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Beloved husband and best friend for over 50 years to the love of his life, Donna.

Survived by his wife Donna Brooker and his best pal Maggie, his much loved children Cory (Leanne), Jenny (Joe). Loving grandpa to Ethan, Madison, Averie, Brandon and Tyler.

Doug is also survived by his mother Anna and his 5 younger siblings and their families, Donna (Jim), Brian (Lisa), Stephen (Wendy), Sharon (Paul), Mike (Lynn) and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Predeceased by his precious infant daughter, Amy (1978), his father, Clement (2024), and his in-laws, Bus and Marion Guenther, who will be welcoming him with open arms at heaven’s gate.

Doug was the founder of Jencor Limited, a successful trucking company est. 1983, and named after his children. Doug always kept busy. He loved to travel. Whether it was to a distant place, a routine appointment, or just a friendly visit, he never hesitated. Nothing was an inconvenience, and he made sure no one was forgotten or left behind.  He worked part-time at his sons Frescho store, he loved to golf, curl (Plattsville Curling Club) and play hockey (KW Oldtimers) with his many friends and family. He was an active member at Plattsville Missionary church and will be missed by the congregration.

He had a great love for spending time with his family and always loved to dance.

A memorial service to take place at Plattsville Evangelical Missionary Church, 19 Albert St E, Plattsville, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. A private family interment to take place at a later date.
