Obituary of Dorilla Marie Anne Caissie

Dorilla Marie Anne Caissie (nee Gautreau) passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the age of 84.

Dorilla will be deeply missed by her children Roger Jr. (Nancy), Sue (Greg), and Angela, her grandchildren Gavin (Steph), Danielle, Andrea (Andrew), Nicole, Alyssa (Johnny), Jamie (MC), Kasey (Shawn), and Matt, her great-grandchildren Gemma, Adelaide, Wyatt, Kyla, Baby Zorn, Adilynn, Sadie, Jordan, and Chloe, her nephew Clarence, and her cousin Norm. Dorilla is also survived by her fur babies Ireland, Miley, and Cardi (AKA Skinny Cat), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Alphie and Yvonne Gautreau, brothers Arthur Gautreau and Clarence Gautreau, and her best friend Donna Tanner.

Dorilla was a longtime employee of La-Z-boy Canada. She enjoyed spending summers at Park Haven Lake with her bestie Donna, and passed her time doing word finds, bingo scratch cards, and watching the retro game show channel. Dorilla was an avid “at home” Kitchener Rangers Fan, an awesome cook, and an even better baker. She was well-known for her peanut butter fudge. Above all, Dorilla was a dedicated Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home’s chapel on Thursday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room.
