Obituary of George Arthur Buckley

George Arthur Buckley passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in his 98^th year. Beloved husband of Kaye for 77 years. Proud grandfather of Victoria Davey (John) and Josh Cronmiller (Magali). Great-grandfather of Scarlett and Violet Davey. Son-in-law of Tim Cronmiller (Judy). Brother to Eva (Buckley) and Michael Holt, and Barb Buckley. Brother-in-law of Melvin Arndt. 

Predeceased by son Larry Buckley (1995) and daughter Anne (Buckley) Cronmiller (1999), brother Ken Buckley (2020), sister-in-law Carol Arndt (2020), parents Walter and Maria (Calder) Buckley, and Melvin and Dorothy (Hawken) Arndt. 

Long time member of Emmanuel United Church in Waterloo. 

At George’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11 a.m., with reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Private family interment to take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
