It's hard to say goodby to someone that has been a part of your life for almost half of it by now. You have been a wonderful father-in-law and grandfather to our kids. Despite the language barrier, I have always felt a connection with you. I will never forget the warmth and affection that you showed to this foreigner who came to Wuhan to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage. You helped me feel like I was part of the family right from the beginning. You have been a model of perseverance throughout your life; having endured hardships from a very young age. Despite those, you found not just a way to endure but to also find contentment. Your resilience is a model for all of us. Baba, I will miss you very much!
