Entered into eternal rest with his Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Doris (née Armbruster) Allemang (1991), whom he married on September 20, 1958.

Loving father of Bradley Allemang and Beth and her husband Karl Grgurich. Will be lovingly remembered by his cousin David (Diane) Leslie, many nieces and nephews, and friend Nori (Shaun) Frape, her children Erin Frape (Ian) and Liam Frape (Madeline). Friend Stephen Fiess (Neal).

Godfather of Jim Leslie and Mark Armbruster.

Ross was born on November 24, 1932, to his parents, Marie (née Schmidt) (1990) and William Allemang (1985). He was predeceased by his sister, Janet Allemang (2020), as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law. He was also predeceased by his special friend, Grace Fiess-Smith.

Ross was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was raised in the faith, baptized at home on December 10, 1932, by Rev. F. Malinsky, and confirmed on March 30, 1947, by Rev. C.H.  Wetzstein.

Ross shared his love of Christ with the Sunday School children for many years, listening to their memory work and teaching them about God.

He was employed for many years at Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Co., where he worked as a skilled tool and die maker before retiring after 40 years of dedicated service. He had an extensive workshop in his basement, where he enjoyed spending many hours building, fixing and repairing any and all items for anyone who asked.

Ross loved to travel with Doris, making many trips to Saskatchewan to visit her family, as well as enjoying vacations in the Caribbean with friends and relatives, and exploring Italy with Grace. Doris and Ross spent many hours constructing their “shed” property, cherishing the time they spent together. He also shared his love of opera with Cathy Rush and Grace.

Special thanks to Pastor Kuhl for his support and guidance and bringing the church to Ross.  To Parkwood Mennonite Home for their love and care, especially Chaplain Lisa, who brought such joy and comfort.  To Bankside Retirement Home for their support and care over the past several years. Also, to Home Instead for their commitment and care.

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John St. W., Waterloo on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11 a.m., with Rev.
