Obituary of John Timmings

TIMMINGS, John
December 31, 1956 – February 28, 2026

John passed away peacefully with his family by his side at WRHN @ Midtown on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at age 69. 

He is survived by his wife Diane Timmings; his children: Emily Bond (Kevin), Beverly MacDonald (Ian), Ben Timmings (Teagan Knowles) and Angela Timmings; and his grandchildren: Sophie, Isabelle and Liam Bond; and Cameron, Spencer and Rory MacDonald.  

John adored hiking and dog park visits with his beloved dog Ripley, trips to the beach, exercising at the A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA, and spending time with his grandchildren. John was a quiet man whose soft presence made a big impact on everyone he met. Those who knew him had the pleasure of hearing his quirky jokes, catch phrases and infectious laugh. 

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff at WHRN @ Midtown Intensive Care Unit for their support and care during this challenging time. 

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for more details, please email Diane at dianetimmings@gmail.com
