Passed away on March 7, 2026, at WRHN @ Queen’s Blvd. (formerly St Mary’s Hospital) from complications of a lung disease.

Survived by her husband Dr Thomas Dale, daughters Elizabeth Dale and Christine Shadd (Kenen) and grandchildren Miabella, Kofi and Justice, as well as many beloved family members.

Predeceased by her father John “Jack” Connell, mother Hildred “Pat” Connell (Sheilds) and brother John Connell. 

She was passionate about ministry to women. She provided compassionate support to young pregnant women at the KW Pregnancy Centre for many years. She had a gift for hospitality and loved knitting and baking for her grandchildren. But most of all she loved spending time and traveling with her family and friends.

Special thanks to the nurses, physicians and healthcare team on the Chest Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital for their loving care, support and kind words to her and her family in her final days. 

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial service to take place at Woodside Bible Fellowship, 200 Barnswallow Dr., Elmira, on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1 p.m. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Private family interment to take place at a later date.
