Obituary of Hazbije Hyseni

Hazbije Hoti Hyseni, aged 63, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Born in Kosovo on January 26, 1963, Hazbije was the beloved spouse of Shefki. She was the devoted parent to Lirije (Valon), Ali (Leonora), Luan (Lisa) and Lum and cherished nanushi to Riona, Ari, Vera, Beni and Rea.

Friends and family will remember Hazbije for her generosity, gracious hospitality, deep devotion, and profound love for her family. Her genuine and caring nature touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.

The funeral prayer will be held at Waterloo Masjid at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026. 213 Erb St. W, Waterloo, ON.

The burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., 335 University Ave, Waterloo, ON.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 71 King St S, Waterloo, ON.

Hazbije spent much of her life supporting the elderly in her community.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honour to "Orphans of the Balkans Charity Organization,” which offers shelter, food and health support to less fortunate elderly in her home country of Kosovo. https://www.jetimat.org
