Obituary of Gail Graham
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gail Graham at the age of 84.
Beloved wife to Doug, her husband of 60 years and soulmate of 67 years.
Gail was known for her kind heart, wonderful smile, laughter, spirit and joy for life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
Born on March 14, 1941, in Toronto, Ontario, Gail was the daughter of Elsie and Ian Robertson and cherished sister to Carole Lemmon (nee Robertson) and sister-in-law to Walt Lemmon.
She leaves behind her children, Tori (Brian), Kari (Ian) and Drew (Samantha). Beloved grandmother to Matt, Kate, Kaia, Kaden, McKenzie and Emily. Loving sister-in-law to Peggy Graham.
One of Gail’s great joys was teaching. After graduating from Kitchener Collegiate Institute, she went on to Teacher's College to become a dedicated and passionate primary school teacher who brought warmth and wisdom to many little ones over the years.
Her adventurous and vibrant spirit could be seen through her many passions. When not teaching or spending time with her family, she could be found at the symphony, travelling, skiing or spending summers at the cottage at Red Bay with her family and friends. She had a love for interior design and was a handy woman who could fix anything. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her friends at Westmount and the “Tennis Girls/Girl’s Weekend Group”. She was involved in the K-W community for over 50 years through The May Court Club and Gyrettes.
Although she faced health challenges near the end, she never lost her warmth, grace and sense of humour.
She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed.
A private family service will be held at Erb & Good Funeral Home, with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
