HORTON, Audrey Joyce (née Otter)
November 1, 1930 - March 10, 2026

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Charles and by her dear brother Rudyard.

Survived by her cherished children, William (Pamela), Lorna, and Robert (Judith). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Kate (Kevin Stewart), Rachel (Alex Henderson), and Sam (Ariella Horton), and her great-grandchildren, Molly, Emma, Rowan and Thomas. She will also be remembered by her sisters, Corinne and Brenda, and by her sister-in-law, Marlene. She will be fondly missed by her nephew and nieces, Darryl (Jackie), Tracey, Corinne and Melissa (Scott).

Born halfway around the world in Bombay, India, Audrey and her husband Charlie, with their three young children, immigrated to Canada in 1959. Canada became their home very quickly in spite of the challenges of Canadian winters! They first settled down very nicely in Toronto and later moved to Ottawa, where they lived and worked for 19 years (Audrey for the CIBC and Charlie for the federal government). At retirement, they chose to move to Kitchener/Waterloo, where they enjoyed living for many years.

Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Highview Residences in Kitchener. You took care of our dear mother for the past year, in her very delicate condition, with incredible compassion, which we will never forget. God bless you all.

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral service to take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room. A private interment to take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.

A livestream and recording of the funeral service will be available on Audrey’s tribute page at www.erbgood.com.

In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family or donations to The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice may be arranged through the funeral home at 519-745-8445 or at www.erbgood.com.
