Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the age of 98. She resided in Kitchener and London in her later years.
Norma is survived by her son Ron and his wife Kim and daughter Cathy and her husband Chris. She will be sadly missed by all seven of her grandchildren – Rob, Greg, Jeff, Katie, Matt, Emily and John and her six great grandchildren – Jordan, Miles, Logan, William, Everet and Ashton.
Norma/Mom/Grandma will be remembered as a woman who loved being surrounded by family; over countless weekends, many dinners, cottaging in Southampton, Christmas and other holidays, birthday celebrations and hours of backyard enjoyment surrounded by her garden. She was a loving wife to her husband Darcy who passed away in 2021. She was a devoted volunteer at Calvary Church where she sang in the choir and gave her time to countless church events. She loved her garden and being surrounded by flowers. Fittingly, Spring was her favorite time of year as it meant a blossoming of new life. Enjoy life with Dad now Mom. Enjoy the new blooms.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the wonderful caring team at Extendicare London.
Memorial visitation will be held at Calvary United Church, 91 Gruhn St, Kitchener, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 1 – 1:45 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Tim Graham officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. A private family interment will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
Norma suffered from a rare condition called Wegener’s Disease for years. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Vasculitis Foundation Canada (Wegener’s is part of the family of Vasculitis diseases) through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo at 519-745-8445 or at www.erbgood.com.
