Obituary of Eileen Mildred Pfeiffer
Eileen Pfeiffer passed away peacefully at her home in Fonthill on Tuesday, March 31st, at the age of 96. She was the beloved twenty-year partner of Wayne James and the loving wife of the late Lorne Pfeiffer. Eileen was the dear mother of Cheryl Pfeiffer, the late Gail (Jim) Dubrick, and the late Alan (Joanne) Pfeiffer. She was also a devoted stepmother to Kevin (Jeanette) James and Darin James.
Cherished grandmother to Brett (Debbie) Dubrick, Bryan (Leah) Dubrick, Cheri (Kelly) Stumpf, Chris (Jen) Warden, Melanie (Charlie) Pfeiffer, Wes Pfeiffer, and Bobby (Chanel) James. Eileen was a loving great-grandmother to Olivia, Mitchell, Emily, Katie, Dion, Yalaina, Brooke, Blaire, Kayla, Lexi, Justin, Ashtynne, Jordan, Robbie, and Eric, and a great-great-grandmother to Aymie-Lynne, Kyleigh, Colton, Layla, Cameron, and Andrew.
She was predeceased by her sister Ruby Hines, brother-in-law Richard Pfeiffer, and sister-in-law Constance Smith. She is survived by her sister-in-law Kathryn Jermy.
Eileen worked at Seagram’s Distillery in Waterloo and was a lifetime member of the KW Naval Association, where she served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to living in Fonthill and Kitchener, she resided in Ayr and Southampton, and spent many winters vacationing in Sebring, Florida.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home’s chapel at 11:30 a.m. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room. Interment at Parkview Cemetery.
