Obituary of Sigrid Maushagen

It is with sad and heavy hearts that we inform you of Sigrid Maushagen’s passing. On March 10, 2026, the Angels came and flew her to Heaven where she will finally be at peace. Sigrid was 88.

Sigrid will be greatly missed by daughters Birgit Buckton (Steven) and Marita Webster (Bernie), and in Germany her youngest sister Edelgard Niemeyer, nephew Stefan Niemeyer and families.

Oma will always be cherished by granddaughters Anastasia Catherine and Emma Kate.

Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews, Anita Leis (Brian), David Weidner (Tonya), Sonya Weidner, Ralph Weidner (Robin), Heidi Weidner (Dave), Andy Weidner, and families.

Mom loved nature and the outdoors, an avid gardener inside and out, the cheerful songs of birds and wildlife, the calming sound of water and waves, and fresh air.

In a stack of papers Mom used over the years to write down passing thoughts, she wrote, “Simple gestures can bring powerful comfort.”

Private family interment has taken place.
