Obituary of Brenda Anne McKenna

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 19 at the age of 74.

Deeply missed by her husband, John McKenna, children Rob (Angie), Breanne, Jeff (Iuliana), grandchildren Aiden, Ruby, Molly, Jace, Esmay, and Lucy. Cherished sister and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, Anne and Gordon Philp.

Brenda received her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from McMaster University and a Master's Degree in Education from Niagara University. She worked as a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Nurse Associate at Hamilton General Hospital. She was involved in the Dundas Kids for Kaga exchange program. Brenda loved gardening, working with stained glass, baking, and puzzles.

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes RC Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo, on Monday, April 27, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Marymount Cemetery, 5400 Hwy 6, Ariss. A reception will follow in the cemetery’s Reception Hall.
