Obituary of Armand Caenen
I’m privileged to be able to write my own obituary. Born in the small border village of Bingelrade, Zuid Limburg in the Netherlands, November 1939. I participated in a ten month government sponsored Youth Exchange Program to Canada in 1964. My sound Dutch technical education provided me with plenty of career opportunities and hence I immigrated to Canada in 1966. My career path included interesting industrial jobs and a lengthy rewarding educational teaching career. My parents, my two sisters and my three brothers supported me in my endeavours. I have lived life to the fullest, facing many challenges and enjoying all the small victories. Sports and gardening were a major part of my life and that provided me with the perfect balance in my life.
My loving wife Marilyn de Jong, a tireless supporter and my driving force for 59 years and my two wonderful sons, Brian and Roger enriched my life tremendously.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S, Waterloo. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Armand’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
