Ruth Ann went to be with her Lord on April 24, 2026 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener at the age of 84.
Devoted mother of David (Marlene). Cherished grandmother of William.
Predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Robert “Bob” in 2022 as well as by her parents, Walter Geelhaar and Norma (née Holtzman).
Ruth Ann was a light to many people, a caring friend, thoughtful and kind. She was a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Kitchener and was an active part of the LWML Ladies Guild for many years. She enjoyed socializing with her neighbourhood friends; other community groups or wherever she found herself. Over the years, she supported elementary students through reading programs in local schools. She had a love of spending time with her family, animals, travel and enjoyed crafting.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, April 29th from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. with the funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Nolan Astley officiating. A livestream of the service will be available at www.erbgood.com. Following the service, Ruth Ann will be laid to rest in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow the interment in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
