Obituary of Philip Pyatt

Philip passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto.

Survived by his loving spouse, Karen (née Ball), his beloved daughter, Emily, his father, John and mother-in-law, Sharon Ball, and his siblings, Lynne McGlynn (Joe), and Russ Pyatt (Heather). He will also be dearly missed by his siblings-in-law, Kim Ball and Garry Ball (Sonia) along with his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his mother, Vera and his father-in-law, Garry S. Ball.

Philip worked as an electrician for 48 years as a member of IBEW Local 804. He was an avid cyclist and runner. Philip felt at home spotting hawks, carving wood, cooking, and working on his ever-evolving landscaping projects. As a lover of the outdoors, he volunteered with Waterloo Region Nature and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of animals and conservation with the Teen group. He was a music aficionado and a skilled craftsman, always tinkering with various projects around the house under the watchful eyes of his beloved cats.

Special thanks to the medical team at Princess Margaret Hospital Hans Messner Allogeneic Transplant Program, along with family and friends, who accompanied and supported us on this journey.

Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Philip's life will take place at a later date. A private family interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.

In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family or donations to Waterloo Region Nature may be arranged through the funeral home at 519-745-8445 or at www.erbgood.com.
