With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Christopher Lee Brubacher on April 29, 2026, at home, at the age of 38. Chris had an unknown underlying heart condition.

To say that Chris was "all heart" would be an understatement. He was a gentle and kind soul with high hopes and big dreams. He had a natural ability to connect with people. He will be remembered for his big bear hugs, his warm smile, easy conversation, and his truly genuine care for others.

Chris is deeply loved and will be missed by his mother Beverly, father Lee, stepmother Jan, and his sister Tonya. He was a valued member of a blended family, including Tonya's son Gray; Chris and Mandy Waters and their children Riley, Abbey, and Halle; and Ryan and Jill, and their daughter Addie.

Chris was predeceased by his sister Shannon Waters, whose memory remained close to his heart.

Having come home to Ontario recently, his family was delighted in reconnecting with Chris and were having fun making memories. Chris was pursuing his dreams, finding his place in the world, and helping many others along the way. Chris was a hero at heart and a volunteer firefighter who wanted to become EMS. He approached life with resilience, and he never, ever gave up. He is remembered for his heart, effort, and the love he shared with all those around him.

We will pay tribute to Chris and remember his life at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Visitation: 12pm-2pm
Funeral Service: 2pm-2:30pm
Reception: 2:30pm-3:30pm
