Obituary of Margaret Gruber

Margaret Ann Gruber (Meyer) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at WRHN – Queen’s Blvd. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Margaret is lovingly survived by her three children, Tina Hache (Jeffrey), Michael Gruber (Lee-Anne) and Mark Gruber (Angella), her three grandsons, Cameron, Logan and Max and her two brothers Kenneth and James Meyer.

She is predeceased by the love of her life Konrad Gruber, her parents Leonard and Florence Meyer, her sister Lucille Plomin, brother in law David Plomin and her two nieces Tammy and Cherie Plomin.  She also dearly missed her dogs Scottie and Jingles.

Margaret was the most amazing mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She dedicated her life to her family, never missing a chance to make everyone a meal for a special occasion or attend different events or sports with family members.  Her home was our cherished place that she created where everyone gathered for all of life’s big and small moments and celebrations.

Margaret dedicated her life to her family and remains forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.  We know you will be welcomed by all those who have passed before you in heaven mom, both human and canine.

"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die"

Special thanks to all of the ICU staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for your care and compassion and to all of the staff at Freeport Hospital Rehabilitation Centre for helping Margaret make it back home one last time.
