Obituary of Margaret Orr
Margaret was born June 23, 1940 in Belfast, Northern Ireland (nee Metcalfe) and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at WRHN Midtown after a hard-fought illness. She is survived by her husband, Laurence Orr who she married on September 13, 1960. She is also survived by her children Colin Orr (Shelley), Paul Orr, Alan Orr (Stacey Dupuis), Gillian Cleasby (Elwood) and Stephen Orr (Pam Gingerich). She dearly loved her grandchildren Justin Orr, Renae Orr (Matej Perisa), Ryan Orr (Shannon Johnston), Heather Muter (Dan) and Ian Cleasby. She also dearly loved her great-grandchildren Kieran, Bowie, Deaglan, Landon, Hayden, Harleigh and Audrey. She is also survived by her siblings Kathleen Masaroon, David Metcalfe (Laura) and Lynda Morrissey (Kevin) as well as her many nieces and nephew.
She was predeceased by her father David, mother Kathleen, brother-in-law Gary Masaroon and son Robert.
Margaret came to Canada in February 1974 and settled in Kitchener. She was a homemaker first and foremost, but also waitressed at the Charcoal, Edelweiss and Eatons. She was happiest when she was celebrating with her family and friends for any and all occasions and doling out kisses and hugs to her dear ones.

Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Wednesday May 20, 2026 for private family 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. and friends are invited for visitation 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Followed by a Celebration of Life in the Fireside Reception room of the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
