Shirley Jean Lloyd

January 27, 1949 – April 19, 2026

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley on Sunday April 19th at WRHN @ Queen’s Boulevard, Kitchener, ON. Leaving to mourn her loss are her sister, Sandra (Calvin) , nephews, Michael (Nicole) & Sean (Sarah), nieces, Alison (Wayne), Trish (Andrew), & Michelle (Corey), great-nephews, Russell, Dallas & Finn & great-nieces, Faith, Violet, Hannah & Gwen & uncle, Roy (Lillian) Bannister, as well as many cousins.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ross Lloyd, parents, Henry & Florella Churchill, brother, Edwin (Colleen) & many aunts & uncles.
Shirley had a beautiful singing voice and her favourite music was Gospel songs. She worked as a Nursing assistant for many years and looking after the elderly was her passion. She was an active member of the Salvation Army Kitchener Community Church for many years where she developed some special friendships. Thank you to Captain Corey Fifield for his support to us and to Shirley’s good friend Terri Cameron for her help over the past few months.

Cremation has taken place and her remains have been brought home to Newfoundland.
