Obituary of Michael John Davidson

August 11, 1946 - May 22, 2026

It is with tender hearts that we announce the passing of Michael John Davidson on Friday, May 22, 2026. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Anne (Herbst) Davidson, and his brother, Kenny Davidson. He is lovingly remembered by his brother, James Davidson.

Born and raised in Kitchener, as a boy Michael began his working life at the HiWay Market. He later went on to become a longtime employee at the BFGoodrich – Michelin Tire Plant, where he remained until his retirement.

Through the Amazing Grace of God, Michael lived a life of sobriety and service for 51 years — happy, joyous, and free, one day at a time.

Family and friends are invited to join a graveside service at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Avenue East, Waterloo, meeting at the entrance gates, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. for a 2:15 p.m. service.

A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, Fireside Room, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, where refreshments and memories will be shared.
