Obituary of Margaret Ringwald
It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, just four months shy of her 100th birthday at Hospice Waterloo.
Marg, lovingly known to all as “Oma”, was born September 13, 1926, in Putinci, Yugoslavia. She lived a long and meaningful life marked by love and resilience, kindness and devotion to her family. She witnessed a century of change and met each season with grace and strength.
She was the cherished wife of Jack Ringwald, who predeceased her on December 20, 1979. Although she was alone for 47 years, she was never truly alone.
Loving mother of Ed (Kathy), Terry Steffler (Rob), and Len (Lesley).
She had seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Oma enjoyed baking, storytelling, and being silly to get a laugh. She will be remembered for the profound love of her family.
Her family wish to thank Dr. Tan and the tremendous and caring team at Hospice Waterloo. Mom was always treated with respect, kindness, and compassion. Huge thanks to Paula and the Erb & Good team for their professionalism and guidance.
A private family service will be held to celebrate our amazing mother and a life well-lived.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association and may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com.
Though she lived nearly a century, it still feels too short for those that loved her.
Until we meet again, Mom. “Wir werden dich für immer lieben.”
