Obituary of Robert Core

Robert Kenton Core, born October 7, 1939, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by the love that had shaped his life so beautifully.

His wife, Rita Gail Core, predeceased him on October 23, 2025.

It is with heavy hearts and abiding love that the family of Robert Kenton Core shares news of his peaceful passing on May 29, 2026. Robert was the devoted husband of Rita Gail Marie Core, and together they built a life over 62 cherished years of marriage—a life rooted in love, laughter, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to family and community.

Born to Bruce Core and Eva Core, Robert was predeceased by his brother, Donald Core.

Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children: Greg Core (Shanna) and their daughters, Brandy and Britney; Rob Core (Barb) and their sons, Zachary (Emma) and Evan (Alise); and Debbie Ryan (Mark) and their children, Jake (Arlaina), Meg (Charles), and Chloe (Oscar). He was a proud and loving father and grandfather whose greatest joy was found in the presence of his family, in shared laughter, in quiet moments together, and in the happiness of those he loved most.

Robert leaves behind a legacy woven with love, kindness, strength, and devotion. He will be deeply missed, tenderly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

The family will have a private funeral service.
