She enjoyed the many visits from her nieces and nephews and cherished every one of them. Eva loved the outdoors and found great enjoyment in her gardens over the years. Eva and her husband Elmer were land developers and were proud to have developed one third of the village of St. Clements, which drew many new families to the area. They were also extremely proud to own and operate the St. Clement Water Supply system which they built from the bottom up, and now benefits the entire village and surrounding areas.

You taught us how to walk and talk, and count and cook and read, gave us time, and love and food, and everything we need, we don’t know how we will ever pay you back, for everything you’ve done, but we’ll start with this poem that says, simply, thank-you mom!
