Obituary of Raymonde Anderson (nee Fillion)
June 9, 1931 - June 2, 2026
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at WRHN- Queen’s Blvd Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario.
Beloved wife of 72 years to the late Andre Anderson. They shared a timeless love story, and their family finds comfort knowing they are reunited again.
Cherished mother of 3 children: Michel (Bobbie), Suzanne (Gervais), and Claude (Lola). Loving “Grandmaman” of 6 grandchildren: Shannon (Ken), Claude (Lesley), Meagan (Chris), Andrea (David), Stephanie (Pierre-Yves), and Ana (Carlos), and 2 step-grandchildren Nathalie (Mathieu) and Jerome. Adoring “Mimi” to 15 great-grandchildren: Eric (Lauren), Sarah (Gracin), Emily, Myla, Dash, Hazel, Malena, Raffael, Rosalie, Adam, Victoria, Ellie, Josh, Charles and Alexandre.
Raymonde will be remembered as an elegant, sophisticated woman whose many talents enriched the lives of those around her. A seamstress, a sculptor, and a master of French cuisine, her dinner parties and celebrations did more than bring people together - they were an expression of her devotion to family and friends.
She always said a lady never left the house without her lipstick on. She had a joyful laugh that rang like bells, and she will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place, and a private interment service will be held in Rimouski, Quebec.

Entourée de sa famille bien-aimée, Raymonde est décédée paisiblement le mardi 2 juin 2026 au WRHN - Hôpital Queen’s Blvd de Kitchener, Ontario.
Épouse bien-aimée d’André Anderson pendant 72 ans, ils ont partagé une grande histoire d’amour, et leur famille trouve du réconfort à savoir qu’ils sont maintenant réunis.
Mère chérie de 3 enfants : Michel (Bobbie), Suzanne (Gervais) et Claude (Lola). Grand-maman adorée de 6 petits-enfants : Shannon (Ken), Claude (Lesley), Meagan (Chris), Andréa (David), Stéphanie (Pierre-Yves) et Ana (Carlos), ainsi que de 2 petits-enfants par alliance, Nathalie (Mathieu) et Jérôme. “Mimi” était adorée de 15 arrière-petits-enfants : Eric (Lauren), Sarah (Gracin), Emily, Myla, Dash, Hazel, Malena, Raffael, Rosalie, Adam, Victoria, Ellie, Josh, Charles et Alexandre.
Raymonde était une femme élégante, sophistiquée et talentueuse. Couturière, sculptrice et grande passionnée de cuisine française, ses réceptions et célébrations étaient une expression de son profond dévouement envers sa famille et ses amis.
Elle disait toujours qu’une dame ne quittait jamais la maison sans son rouge à lèvres. Son rire sonnait comme des clochettes et elle laissera un grand vide.

La crémation a déjà eu lieu et une cérémonie privée d’inhumation se tiendra ultérieurement à Rimouski, Québec.
