My condolences to Glen's Family. I have fond memories of Glen, who stayed humourous while keeping us super organized. Some fond riding days too, he on his Indian, me on my Harley. He embraced life with the same gusto and commitment.
We have lost a good one !
Sincerely, Janet Harris

Like Laurie, I met Glen through his worth with the Kawartha Community Foundation. He was always incredibly welcoming and gracious to me.
I was deeply impressed by his accomplishments, but I also greatly appreciated how down-to-earth he was one-on-one. I enjoyed our chats, even though they were brief and infrequent.
My deepest sympathies to his friends and family during this incredibly difficult time.

Glen was a fantastic mentor, inspiration, and proud Canadian. I will always remember one time meeting in his office at Wright Mogg & Assoc. when I was about 20 years old and President of the PC Campus Association - pitching him on some idea that we had. This was in the days of old-fashioned paper memos, and I handed him the note to read, which no doubt was 50% longer than it needed to be. But what I will always remember was his focus, and how he read the document intently and without distraction. He then asked two or three questions that cut to the essence of what mattered - and no doubt poked holes in the argument we were trying to make. But he did so, as always, with his gift of empathy and support combined with the sharpest of intellect - and the odd cuss word as appropriate. There are many other stories - like the time we went toe to toe on the Campbell and Charest leadership campaigns - when he once again demonstrated what strong leadership, vision, and kindness were all about. He will be dearly missed.

My time with Glen Wright—as a fundholder, board member, mentor, and trusted advisor—was far too short. Glen was my fountain of youth.
When you reach a senior leadership role, launch a sole proprietorship, or become the first employee of a public foundation, it can be difficult to find people who continue to challenge, teach, and elevate your thinking. Glen was endlessly generous with his wisdom, experience, and connections, helping raise our work from managing immediate challenges to creating long-term, sustainable impact.
Glen had a remarkable ability to see beyond the moment and focus on what would benefit communities for years to come. He was more than one of our longest-serving board members; he was a friend to all. It wasn't unusual for our board meetings to end early, only for Mark, our Board Chair, to spend the remaining time asking Glen for his perspective on national and global affairs. The rest of us would simply listen and learn.
His generosity was never about recognition; it was about building something lasting. I am deeply grateful for the guidance he shared, the confidence he inspired, and the legacy he leaves behind.

To Glen’s family
Our deepest sympathies in sharing the loss of a fine human being and friend. Fond memories of adventures and special shared times such as fishing in the Amazon; hunting in Argentina, Central America, Manitoba; and shooting events at Griffith Island over many years. Memories that will be cherished forever.
A pleasure and an honour to know Glen.
