Bill was fondly known as “Uncle Buck” to many… this nickname was coined on one of the many family camping trips to Algonquin. His love of camping started with Bonnie at Restoule and grew at Happy Hills. Bill was a family man through and through! A gentle soul that would help anyone who needed it, and he tried to get a laugh out of everyone. A connoisseur of Dad jokes and plays on words, he enjoyed life to the fullest.

Bill had a strong work ethic as shown by his over 25 years of service as an inspector with the Department of National Defense. From there, he didn’t retire, he decided to start his own company implementing ISO for companies and he even taught some of those principles at Conestoga College for a period. Bill could start up a conversation and find something in common with anyone he met. He kept busy with his family, played fastball and hockey. As the kids grew up, this changed to coaching the kid’s teams and teaching women’s fastball, pitching.

Anyone who knows Bill has either heard about or been to the family cottage at Inverhuron where many wonderful memories were made with many amazing families. Those memories included many family game nights, sunsets and songs around the campfire. Bill had an infectious laugh and a love of life and family…he will be greatly missed by friends and family.
