Obituary of Clive Whitby
Passed away peacefully at Hospice Waterloo on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 7:35 p.m., age of 81.
Beloved husband and best friend of Betty for 58 wonderful years. Loving father of Jevin and Larissa, and cherished grandfather of Austin, Seth, and Wyatt. Clive will also be fondly remembered by his brother, Owen (Carol) of New York, USA.
Clive was self-employed and worked in the sheet metal industry for over 45 years. Known affectionately as "The Tin Man," he had an enormous heart and was always willing to lend a hand. A true "Mr. Fix-It," Clive could repair just about anything and was known throughout his community for helping others and for his gift of conversation.
Among his many interests, Clive was passionate about Formula One racing and even had the opportunity to assist in the pits at Mosport for several years in his youth. He treasured family vacations to Florida and, later in life, he and Betty enjoyed spending two months each year at Walt Disney World Resorts and Casey Key, Florida.
Clive will be remembered for his clever sense of humour, unwavering kindness, ferocious intelligence and generous spirit.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Clive’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
