My Dad was one of my favourite people. I remember when he told me he wasn't sure I could do Economics. I wasn't logical enough. But I persevered and did do two years of Economics at WLU, with my Dad as my personal tutor. It was always so special to have him on campus when I was a student at Laurier.
He has always been one of the best Grandpas. With my kids and my niece and nephew. There wasn't a game he didn't want to play. He would be down on the floor with the grandkids. They were the focus. Not any other adult - the kids. And he could beat the pants off of all of us in games. We all loved playing games with him, at home or at the farm or at a cottage.
I am heart-broken to lose him. We will go on, but we are missing him so dearly. I kept expecting him to walk through the door at my parent's house.
