You were truly one of the most beautiful human beings I had the privilege of knowing.
Mike and I were so fortunate to call you our friend. What always amazed us was your incredible ability to remember the details that mattered most. You never forgot to ask about Emma, our dogs, or what was happening in our lives. No matter how busy you were, you made people feel seen, valued, and cared for.
I have so many wonderful memories, but one that stands out is working with you to create an online version of your Relaxation Response so it could be shared with team members around the world. It was such a privilege to help bring your teachings to more people because the wisdom, kindness, and compassion behind them deserved to be experienced far and wide.
You lived life to the fullest and always led with your heart. Your generosity, guidance, and unwavering belief in people left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know you.
Thank you for the friendship, the lessons, the laughter, and the countless ways you made the world a better place. I will carry your teachings and guidance with me forever, and I proudly pass them on to Emma so that a small part of your legacy continues to live on through the lives you touched.
You will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved. Thank you for touching so many lives and for making ours richer simply by being part of it.

I was so sad to learn of Vic’s passing but thankful I was able to visit with him in May of this year. Vic and I first met in 1983 when we both worked for Mutual Life. Our friendship first bonded over sharing stories of our experiences with Outward Bound and continued on from there. Although I changed jobs, changed companies, moved in and out of the province we always stayed in touch and enjoyed many lunches and dinners together. As noted in the obituary, Vic’s true calling was in helping others (following in the footsteps of his Mother based on stories Vic recounted to me). He lived a simple modest life and his happiness came from helping others. I marvelled at his ability to accept everyone just as they were - no judgements. A rare trait. I am thankful for having Vic in my life, for his positive energy, for his focus on gratitude, for the many philosophical discussions we had about religion, spirituality and health, and most importantly for his friendship. I will miss him.

Vic was first my Tai Chi teacher and then my meditation teacher. His kindness, knowledge, and wisdom were a great inspiration to me. He was a truly lovely person, and I will miss him deeply. My sincere condolences to his family and to all who knew and loved him. He made a wonderful impact on so many.

It is sad that you can no longer be with us in person. Yet I believe you still exist, just in a form we are not familiar with. I can feel your presence in the waving willow tree, in the white clouds against the blue sky, and in the pure, innocent eyes of a pet.
Today is the seventh day since your passing. May your transition be smooth and peaceful. Tonight, I will light a candle for you and recite your favorite sutra, the Heart Sutra.
