Obituary of George Gilbert Stillaway

Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 85.

George is predeceased by his loving wife Helen. He is survived by his children Steven and Loraine, and by his brothers Bill, from Calgary Alberta, Bob from Oshawa, Ontario.

Predeceased by his sister Cathy St. John.

George began his career in 1963 with the Waterloo PUC in the Water Department. When the department later became part of the Region of Waterloo, George continued his work there until his retirement.

George loved his family dearly. He and Helen shared a wonderful marriage of 62 years, building a lifetime of cherished memories together.

Cremation has taken place. In accordance with George’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
