Obituary of Jonathon "Remmy" Lee
Jonathon “Remmy” Lee passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on February 25, 1981, Remmy was adopted by Bruce and Barbara Rose Lee and was a proud dad to Jonathon Lee Mitton.
Remmy was someone who could make you laugh no matter the situation. He took pride in his clothes and belongings, loved a good trinket, and enjoyed taking things apart, especially watches, simply to see if he could put them back together. If you needed a tool, Remmy probably had it, and if you needed help, he would be there. He might have been late, but he would show up.
Remmy had a big heart and would help anyone who asked. He often spoke about the kindness shown to him while living on the streets and believed in returning that kindness to others. Despite the difficult chapters throughout his life, Remmy was at his core, good.
His journey took him through Toronto, London, Victoria, and eventually ending up in Waterloo, where he found a home and community at SHOW. He was grateful for the people who supported him along the way, particularly through SHOW and Sanguen.
Remmy will be remembered in the laughter he created, in every little trinket that would have caught his eye, in the half-taken-apart watch on a table, in the toolbox that somehow had exactly what you needed, and in the simple act of showing up for another person, even if you are a little late.
Remmy’s celebration of life will be held at 362 Erb Street West, Waterloo, on Wednesday, September 16th at 1:30pm.
Rest peacefully, Remmy. You were here, you mattered, and you will be remembered.
