Obituary of Jeanette Sommers

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeanette Sommers announces her passing at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo on Monday, January 21, 2013. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, James Sommers, on January 6, 2010. Loving mother of John (Paula), Tim (Mary), and Dave (Paulette). Cherished Grandma of Candice and Mollie. Predeceased by her parents, John K. and Edith (nee Wagner) Moser, and her brothers Leonard, Wilbert and Doug. After graduating from St. Mary's High School in Kitchener, Jeanette gained employment with Mutual Life Insurance Company of Canada in Waterloo. She later married James in 1952 and upon starting a family she dedicated her life taking good care of her husband and three sons. We would like to thank the entire staff at Parkwood Mennonite Home for the compassionate care they provided our Mother for the past four years. Cremation has taken place. Jeanette's family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, January 25 from 6-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 6 p.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Chris Buda, CR as celebrant. A reception will follow at the Waterloo Knights of Columbus, 145 Dearborn Pl., Waterloo.
