I worked with Alison for a few years (@ Lilies White) and she was, by far the MOST talented floral designer that I have ever known. She taught me so much and I am very grateful to have known her and worked with her. She was a dear friend and I will miss her.

My Darlings Lexi and Summer:
My deepest heart-felt condolences to you both…this has been a very difficult family passage and you both have done such an awesome job of loving and caring for your Mom both in the earlier days and in her illness…
I am so proud of you both!
Alison loved you girls so much…as you well know.
She was so proud of the strong and GOOD women that you have both become.
She birthed you both…and you two were right there for her 100% as she left her body. What a beautiful and powerful gift to give your Mother.
As best friends, I was honored to share in her life since our teen years really, then our "soul mate" status really kicked in around the time you were born Summer.
I shall always remember the baby shower we had at the "Farmhouse" to welcome you into this world.
As the years passed….Alison visited me almost annually in the Virgin Islands where our friendship deepened; where we laughed until we cried; touched the deepest soul parts that friends can access.
No matter what was taking place in our lives through our 30's 40's, 50;s (and with me hitting 60 even!) ….the love we shared as human beings was steadfast and true.
We loved each other unconditionally …and had each other's back…we were always willing to tell the truth to each other; always say "I am sorry" when needed; cry when that too was called for. Alison and I were true sisters, in fact.
I helped Alison open her heart; she helped me learn to laugh! The sense of humor that we shared has touched me deeply…like no other ever has and I intend to have her live more deeply through me-by laughing and playing more.
We were "silly girls" together….teenagers in fact-at every age!
In her finals weeks-I called her everyday just to say "I love you sweet sister"….in the end, we had said everything we needed to.
She was so courageous…in her pain….AND so loving.
It feels like we have "lost her" but that is not really true…she has become such a deep part of those she loved deeply and those who loved her back…as once in the heart-never part…takes one a new and deeper meaning.
I shall never look at a flower-or laugh hard…or feel a deep sense of peace or joy and NOT think of my very Best friend in the world…my "Maw" Alison…I am so grateful you are finally at Peace…and out of your pain, Dearheart. We had all hoped for one last visit of sun at my home here…but alas-that was not meant to be. I loved that I did get to spend quality time with you in Sept. while visiting my dying mother there.
That in itself was a lovely Gift too.
I FULLY expect you to be standing there "greeting me" (along with Andy Gordon of course) when my time comes.
In fact, I expect a "Thank God that's over MAW!!!"….with us both belly laughing over "the amazing trip" we both just shared on this Planet.
Until then…THANK YOU Alison for being such an important and part of my life.

I was really caught off guard today when a mutual friend passed on the news of Alison's passing. Alison and I did not keep in touch after our pre-teen years but we were close for a couple of years and I am surprised how many memories are flooding back of time spent on Sunset Place, the brothers, Jerry arranging flowers and Ray quietly off in the corner. My heartfelt condolences to Alison's daughters, Stuart, Michael and other family and friends.

Oh my goodness...where to start! Allison was the most beautiful, (those teeth, that hair, that figure)the most "full of life," the most fun, the most "why not?" the best smile and sincerest eyes...she was a darling and a special flower! |I truly wish I could be there for our mutual friends and her brothers and especially her daughters.
