Obituary of Alberta Idsardi

Alberta "Bea" Aletta Vanderspank Idsardi (nee: Sparenburg) of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Bea is predeceased by her first husband, Fritz Vanderspank in 1959 and her second husband, William Idsardi in 1994. She is survived by her children, John, Alice (Mary), Pat (Keith), and James (Bev) as well as grandchildren Dan, Amy, Brittney, Erin, Cameron, Ralph, Kevin and Danielle as well as several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Joan Stauttener and predeceased by her sister Tineke Thijsse. Born in 1926 in Tejeal, Java Indonesia (while a Dutch colony), Bea spent the years up to early adulthood in The Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada in 1953 in initially settling in Princeton Ontario. She eventually settled in the Kitchener-Waterloo area in 1964 where she became a good friend to many people. Bea could always be counted on to have time for a coffee and a chat. Bea loved people and loved animals. She always had the company of one or more pets and it was not unusual to find her caring for some wild bird or critter that needed attention. She could always find the fun in any activity and would always provide a comment for a good laugh. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bea with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, March 21at 1:30 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
